        FAQ

What Exactly is Emo Fest?Emo Fest started out as an idea to be an event centred around Stray Kids fics prompted by MCR songs, but quickly evolved into how we know Emo Fest today. To put it simply, Emo Fest is a small, fan-run event dedicated to Stray Kids and creating fan works inspired by our favourite emo music! The overlap between former (and current) members of emo fanbases and Stay is impressive, truly (unsurprisingly in mods' opinions), and what better way to express the creativity found within both genres than a fest! Will There be Self-Prompting?Yes! As long as the song you wish to claim is not already featured in the list of submissions for the fest. This is simply because we wish to feature fics written on as many different songs as possible! When claiming opens, there will be a section on the form for those who wish to self-prompt.How Are You Determining Which Songs Are and Are Not Emo?Our mods, two elder emos and one more recent emo, have put an incredible amount of thought (and even some research) into determining what songs are and are not emo, and we apologize if your submissions didn't make the cut! Will we be Able to See Song Submissions Before Claiming?Yes! Once the prompting period closes, a Notion list of song submissions will be shared on Twitter for everyone to see!
